Austin, Texas — Austin, Texas, is home to many creative tattoo artists who use creative tattooing techniques to create a variety of artworks, including a portrait of rapper Killer Mike, a tattoo of a horse, and a piece of artwork featuring an actual tattooed dog.
The Austin American-Statesman reported that creative tattoo artist Travis Dutton of Austin has a piece for sale that will sell for $1 million, and is currently at the auction house of his friend, artist Chris DeBartolo.
DeBartololo’s piece, which is made up of seven large tattoos on his body, is being sold at the Austin Arts Market.
“I love tattooing and have been since I was a kid,” DeBartero told the newspaper.
“I had the idea to make a custom tattoo, so I decided to make it out of my own body parts.
I used a mixture of silicone, paint, and acrylic.
I didn’t have a laser or a UV light, but I did have some high-powered lasers that were able to do a very nice line.”
DeBrartolo said that the tattoo is “pretty special” and is part of a larger collection that he plans to display for friends and family to enjoy.
Dutton said that he’s also selling a piece made of his body that he said was originally created by a friend, and will eventually be used for other creative projects.
